1229 - ◆The Treaty of Jaffa enters into force.
Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth and Sidon briefly returns to the Kingdom of Jerusalem under the treaty between Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and the Ayyubid sultan Al-Kamil, in exchange for a ten year truce between the Ayyubids and the Crusaders.
The treaty is concluded on February 11 and enters into force on February 18.
