Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth and Sidon briefly returns to the Kingdom of Jerusalem under the treaty between Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and the Ayyubid sultan Al-Kamil, in exchange for a ten year truce between the Ayyubids and the Crusaders. The treaty is concluded on February 11 and enters into force on February 18.
The critical negotiations go wrong and Japan decides the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 8, 1941.
